Sourdough Bread Workshop

Learn how to make your very own Sourdough Bread from just flour, water and salt.

This hands-on workshop will remove the mystery behind the world of sourdough. We'll explain the basic principles, leaving the complex jargon at the door. No previous baking experience is required.

You'll learn how to make and look after your own starter with a lifetime guarantee.

We'll then guide you through each step of the bread-making process. From kneading, to proving, to shaping, and of course baking. Including how to make your very own party centre-piece focaccia.

And while we're at it, we'll explain just what goes into your average 'sourdough' supermarket loaf. Be warned though, you'll never want to go back.

Workshops take place in our commercial bakery at The Hop Pocket in Bishop's Frome.

You'll leave armed with a bag full of your own Sourdough Bread, a pot of Peter Cooks Bread starter, and all the information and recipes you need to recreate your own Sourdough Bread at home.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout the day, along with a hearty lunch.

Maximum workshop size: 6

Cost - £100
